Ice Hockey League, prima sconfitta per il Milano HC che perde a Budapest dopo 3 vittorie consecutive
Nel venerdì dell’Ice Hockey League, una sola squadra italiana in pista: il Milano HC cede in Ungheria e ferma la sua striscia di tre vittorie consecutive. I rossoblu scenderanno in pista, già sabato, contro il Vienna (ore 19:15) a conclusione di un’altra intesa settimana “on the road”.
Prima sconfitta stagionale per il Milano, battuto 3-0 a Budapest dal Ferencvaros. I rossoblu recriminano soprattutto per le occasioni non sfruttate: nel primo periodo tre superiorità numeriche non bastano per sbloccare il risultato, mentre nella seconda frazione Saracino e Cuglietta falliscono due buone opportunità a tu per tu con il portiere ungherese. Dall’altra parte Smith è decisivo in più occasioni, aiutato anche da un palo.
La partita si decide a inizio terzo periodo, quando Silye finalizza una bella combinazione con Bengtsson e Savoie per l’1-0. Il Milano reagisce e aumenta la pressione, ma trova un ottimo Nagy sulla propria strada. Caamano non riesce a concretizzare due importanti occasioni. Nell’ultimo minuto, complice anche la stanchezza per la quarta trasferta consecutiva, Shedden toglie Smith per il sesto uomo, ma un disco perso permette a Kestila di firmare il 2-0 a porta vuota. Nei secondi finali arriva anche il 3-0 di Heljanko, sempre a gabbia sguarnita.
